Pastor Rockne Dahl joined our church as Senior Pastor early in March 2002. We appreciate his practical approach to church leadership. The following unsolicited descriptions have been used regarding Rockne by his colleagues and parishioners: respectful, good sense of humor, communicator, politeness, warmth of heart, and gifted in ministry. In an added bit of trivia, he has a link to the history of the Lancaster church through his father who was the pastor here during the church construction in the 1960’s.

Pastor Rockne is a scholar with formal training in history, theology, and counseling . He completed his undergraduate education at Pacific Union College. His graduate education includes an M.Div. from Andrew University and a M.A. in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling from Azusa Pacific University. He has been a pastor in the Southern California Conference since 1968, most recently at the Canoga Park Church.

Sonja Dahl, born in Dresden, Germany, moved to the U.S. in 1949 with her parents and twin brother. Her educational background is in nursing and she currently is employed as a property manager.

Together Rockne and Sonia share four adult children, 3 grandchildren, and a passion for ministry in God’s work. We pray for the Dahl’s as they lead us in building upon our strengths and is meeting the unique challenges of our church family.
