Small Groups create an opportunity for fellowship, support and spiritual growth. We want to extend an invitation to anyone who is not presently a member of a small group to consider joining one as a host, a leader, a co-leader, or a member. For information, contact the church office by phone, 943-5725, or email with your name, phone number, and the best time to be involved.
6 S’s of Small Group Success
The characteristics of successful small groups, whatever the goal or purpose of the group, include the following:
Scripture – Spend some group time focusing on scripture and spiritual growth.
Sharing – The comfort of sharing each other’s lives with acceptance and confidentiality.
Support – Supporting each other through prayer and companionship.
Socializing – Spend some time in the pure enjoyment of human interaction.
Service – This may be the purpose of the group or simply a part of the group’s function.
Splitting – This is where growth comes in. Plan that as the group strengthens and grows, new leaders will be trained with the expectation of forming new small groups of similar or new purpose.
